Approaching Learning with Wonder, Discovery and Curiosity.
We are passionate about early childhood learning and education and our goal is to uniquely support and encourage each child’s early learning journey and discovery.
We do this with a personalized, child-centered, team approach. Intentionally creating personalized early learning opportunities for children in each of our programs.
With this strong foundation, we create a community of confident, capable, creative and curious life-long learners.
OVER FORTY YEARS STRONG
In 1983, FCB opened in Calgary with a vision, 10 children, a box of used toys, 10 easels and a commitment to teaching joyfully and valuing young children. Forty years later, this ideal is as vital as ever.
The easels are a first step to reading and printing, as the children come to understand that any mark, they make can represent a thing or an idea, and have the power to tell a story. The easel is a symbol of a space filled with infinite possibilities giving rise to wonder, discovery, and trust in the world around us.
FCB continues today with preschool and kindergarten classes in Cochrane and Northeast Calgary, and now offers a safe and inclusive program of comprehensive early intervention services, in partnership with early childhood centers throughout Calgary and Area. Starting in the fall of 2024 FCB will be expanding our location in Village Square Mall to offer childcare for children between 19 months and 6 years old.
