These creative and diverse classes are open to any child receiving PUF/or M/M funding, and participation is free for all programs.
Each of these programs is designed to give your child an opportunity to work on their IPP-based goals and practice new skills and strategies. Attending these programs will provide time towards the required programming hours.
If you are interested in having your child participate in any of our programs, please complete the registration and consent forms. If you can no longer attend a program, please complete the Program Withdraw form available in the Form’s Portal area to cancel your registration and make a spot available for another child.
The Community Parent/Child Programming is designed for the families of children receiving PUF/MM services. The goal is to provide parents with fun activities to try out at home that will help develop their child’s skills and transfer new skills to daily life.
Sessions provide activities to develop fine motor skills, through guided activities with everyday items. Caregivers are required to participate with their child during the sessions.
This yoga class provides opportunities for children to learn yoga poses and mindfulness to support their physical and emotional development. Benefits and learning objectives of this mindfulness and yoga program include:
Parents are encouraged to participate with their child, and siblings are welcome too! You only need to register your child.
Please dress in comfortable clothing that allows movement. A yoga mat is recommended but not required. A blanket on the floor will also work.
The music therapy program provides an additional therapeutic service for your child to work on their IPP goals.
Activities will include singing, songwriting, musical games, and moving to music. These activities promote social interaction, improve language and communication skills, gross and fine motor coordination, creative self-expression, sensory stimulation, and develop academic and life skills.
Join us in Story Adventures where we work on tools for regulation, story telling, building vocabulary, kindness empathy and, encouraging imagination. Family members can join as we read stories, sing songs, and do activities together.
