I obtained my Chartered Accountant designation, now recognized as Chartered Professional Accountant, in 1991, after completing my Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Alberta. Since that time I have worked in multiple industries ranging from transportation, construction, laundry/linen services, market research, property management, and charitable organizations.
Volunteering and working with youth programs have long been my passion, and I’ve been grateful for the incredibly rewarding roles I’ve experienced with Girl Guides of Canada, Special Olympics Calgary, Special Olympics Alberta and various Board positions within community programs.
Play time in my world is usually on the golf course in the summer, or travelling to find new golf courses in the winter. Hiking, reading, crafting and family time with my spouse and adult children round out the remainder of my play time.
Working at FCB has become a wonderful full circle opportunity! I am able to merge my passion for youth, my professional knowledge to sustain our organizational growth and financial stability, while now contributing to the same early intervention services that our family received when my children were young.
I can personally attest that FCB changes the lives of children and their families.
Fun fact: I am the reigning FCB Tenzi Champion!
