Your child’s early childhood program has agreed to participate in Foothills Creative Beginnings’ (FCB) Early Intervention Services. FCB provides early intervention screening to identify developmental areas in which your child may require additional support such as speech and language, fine or gross motor and/or regulation.  

For children to receive early intervention services funded through Alberta Education, registration and funding applications must be completed before September 27, 2024

Screening Process: 

• Completed by a multidisciplinary team including a certificated teacher (early learning coordinator), speech/language pathologist & occupational therapists

• Takes between 10 – 20 minutes to complete.  
• Screening occurs during class time. (While attending, preschool or childcare)  
• Will help determine if our multidisciplinary team services may be recommended for your child. 

Following Screening: 

Results and recommendations will be shared with parents/guardians and the school/daycare staff.

Parents will receive an email from the early learning coordinator (ELC) indicating if further assessment is recommended. If intervention services are recommended, the ELC will contact you by phone within 3 business days to discuss the next steps.
